I am blessed to know Baja California as the amazing place that it is. When first traveling through the desert it can be mistaken for a dry wasteland. Explore it, hike it and sit in it and gifts are given to you. Especially after a rain, the desert can explode with colorful wildflowers and blooming cactus.
