I’ve been to about fifteen births with friends (my own too!). Birth is such an incredible event! I wanted to paint a symbol to help a woman during labor and birth. The central circle in this painting is ten centimeters in diameter, the dilatation point signaling the time that pushing usually begins and the birth of the baby is eminent. Other symbols in this painting encourage births of all sorts to happen.
